$129.28

Bollywood vinyl LP records converted into actual functional clocks that you can use on a daily basis!

Featured here for sale is a very rare picture vinyl LP records (or picture discs as they were called) turned into a clock. This Bollywood vinyl LP was originally printed with a photo print on its surface. As the photo print would not alter the playing capabilities of the record, their uniqueness did not come at a price of function. However, the printing process was expensive which is why picture discs are very rare and becoming increasingly difficult to find.

If you would like to purchase a Bollywood vinyl LP clock with a stunning original vintage photo print, these picture disc clocks are made for you!

These picture discs, i.e. vinyl LP records bearing printed images on their surface, would fascinate music lovers back in time and were an object of much curiosity.

We have a good selection of Bollywood as well as English music picture discs (photo vinyl LP records), which have been converted into beautiful clocks that retain the vintage identity of the original record.

Pictured here is an original, vintage photo disc vinyl LP record clock for sale – Yeh Hai Amitabh – The star, his dialogues, his songs (presented by Ameen Sayani).

This revolutionary product combines two separate offerings into one very unique design: vintage memorabilia and actual function.

Back in the days, these picture vinyl LP records played melodious tunes on turntables. Reborn in a fresh avatar as clocks, these old Bollywood vinyl LP records have been given a new lease of life by Indian Hippy!

The photo vinyl LP records that these clocks have been made from are either 33 ½ or 45 RPM 12” Long Play vinyls from the 1960s/70s/80s. Vinyl LP records surviving today have very little play value, primarily because of scratches and dust that accumulate over several decades they have been around for. Hence, if played on a gramophone or a turntable, they tend to skip. Old Bollywood LP records also pose a risk to the environment as the vinyl material they are made of is non-biodegradable. Thousands of broken vinyl records find their way into landfills each year and end up clogging and harming the environment. By converting these vintage Bollywood vinyls into not just beautiful works of art, but actual functional clocks that serve a purpose, Indian Hippy aims to promote the message of ‘recycle and reuse.’

This unique product transforms old Bollywood vinyls into works of art that serve an excellent function of telling the time. Our vintage vinyl LP records are certified damage-free and are thoroughly cleaned before being converted into clocks.

Fitted with a thoroughly tested clock machine encased in a plastic body compartment at the back, this beautiful clock is ready for hanging on your wall.

This picture vinyl LP record clock works with a standard AA pencil battery and comes complete with a one year replacement guarantee. Also provided with every vinyl LP record clock is the original jacket of the record to validate its authenticity. The jacket features artwork on the front cover and a song list on its back detailing information about singers, music composers, etc.

Please read the following carefully before placing your order:

  1. Since all the vinyl LP records are vintage (some dating all the way back to the 1960s), please expect light buffs and scratches on the record surface.
  2. The vinyl material of the LP record is UV sensitive and susceptible to heat damage. Exposure to direct sunlight will cause the LP record to warp / contort. Hence, the clock must be installed on a wall away from direct sunlight and heat.
  3. Since the hands of the clock are exposed, please do not place the clock flat on its face or touch the hands. Doing so may bend the hands and impair the natural motion of the clock.
